Joni Miller who wrote the melody  to these timeless lyrics, has this to say this:
“Ani ma'amin...our quintessential prayer for Moshiach.  October 7, 2023....a day we all carry with us, a day we wept and cried out for Moshiach!!!!  It was right after Sukkot ended and we heard the awful news.  I began to sing...Ani Ma'amin...begging for this golus to end.  I sent it to my producer, Danny Flam, who took it and ran with it!!!  And there was only one singer, Avi Perets, who could deliver the raw pain and emotion I felt when I wrote this.  May we greet Moshiach speedily in our days.”
ג'וני מילר אומרת על כתיבת הלחן  - "אני מאמין... תפילתנו המהותית למשיח. 7 באוקטובר, 2023... יום שכולנו נושאים עמנו, יום שבכינו וזעקנו למשיח!!!! זה היה מיד אחרי שסוכות הסתיים ושמענו את החדשות הנוראות. התחלתי לשיר... אני מאמין... מתחנן לסיום הגלות הזו. שלחתי את זה למפיק שלי, דני פלם, שלקח את זה והמריא איתו!!! והיה רק זמר אחד, אבי פרץ, שיכול היה להעביר את הכאב הגולמי והרגש שהרגשתי כשכתבתי את זה. שנזכה לקבל פני משיח במהרה בימינו."
