Shalom Rav שלום רב | Eli Skaist Feat. Ari Dobkin
A few days before October 7th, some old friends met up in a studio in NYC to record something spontaneously. After several hours of playing around with different song ideas, Ari remembered an old tune of Eli’s “Adon Hashalom” (Master of Peace), that had never been recorded.
Little did they know that so soon after, this prayer would be more relevant than ever. Eli returned to Israel to serve his people as a Major in the IDF and hasn’t stopped since.
The hopes and תפילות for שלום רב genuine peace for the entire עם ישראל has never been as strong as it is today. We daven that the שלום will be תשים לעולם, on the entire universe and for eternity, and it’s in that spirit that we share this song.
“The amateur believes he must first overcome his fear; then he can do his work. The professional knows that fear can never be overcome. He knows there is no such thing as a fearless warrior or a dread-free artist”. (Steven Pressfield)
