Six13 – G-d Split The Ocean (a "Cake By The Ocean" adaptation for Passover)
Up Next
Shared on April 18, 2016
We might not be having any cake, but really, it's all about the ocean.
Passover is a time to celebrate the many miracles performed for us when we were led out of Egypt. We're especially psyched about one in particular: how we crossed the Sea of Reeds when G-D SPLIT THE OCEAN!

Lyrics:
Let's go
Ready for eight days without a bagel
Tell the story, gather round the table
Of how we gave the slip to bad old Pharoah, Pharoah
It's time for the matza feast, it's time for the matza feast
Ain't got no risen yeast, ain't got no risen yeast
Gonna dip some parsley, gonna dip it twice, you see
'Cause you know that He split the sea and He set my people free
(CHORUS):
What could be greater?
I can't wait to go to the seder, whoa
Break that matza, save some for later
Find afikomen, now that G-d split the ocean
Count those ten plagues, sir
We'll rock the house when we sing Dayenu, whoa
Over 200 years of hard labor
I'm leaving Goshen, because G-d split the ocean
G-d said
"Let my people go", he spoke through Moses
And 'cause of His outstretching arm and strong hand
We crossed the parted sea of reeds on dry land, dry land
Waste wine for the plagues, you see, waste wine for the plagues, you see
Eat rice if you're Sefardi, eat rice if you're Sefardi
Ain't got no bread to eat, 'cause we left so quick-a-ly
And you know that He split the sea and He set my people free
(CHORUS)
Ma nishtana
Find afikomen, now that G-d split the ocean
Ma nishtana
I'm leaving Goshen, because G-d split the ocean
Count those plagues, girl
(CHORUS)
Chazeret, charoset, and maror taste so great
Z'roa, and beitza, and karpas on the plate
Chazeret, charoset...
I'm leaving Goshen, because G-d split the ocean
