From Cantor Yanky Lemmer: On this Memorial Day I think back to the time I stood alongside service personnel and sang for this our country. Remembering the fallen and also honoring my distant relative Morris Dershowitz who served in WW2 and in Korea.
This took place on Jewish Heritage Night 6th Night of Chanukah December of 2014 the only Basket ball Menorah was lit at Brooklyn's Barclay Center where the Brooklyn Nets played the Detroit Pistons.
The Star-Spangled Banner
Lyrics
Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight
O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
