This raw spirited track is part of a musical triptych shot over the course of one day with our dear friend and Emmy-award-winning documentary filmmaker Ora Dekornfeld. This original melody accompanies verse 1, chapter 5 of Song Of Songs.
The Lubavitcher Rebbe delivered his very first Chassidic discourse uttering these words: “Basi Legani” on the 10th Of Shevat back in 1951, with which he officially accepted the mantle of leadership of the prestigious Chabad-Lubavitch dynasty, launching his global mission to inspire & empower people such as ourselves to draw G-d’s indwelling presence into the very fabric of our day-to-day lives. It’s an honor to release a song today to these very same words as a tribute to mark the 70th anniversary of this moment!
A huge thank you to Andrew Freedman for the arrangement, to all the performing musicians and behind the scenes friends that made this happen.
